The large majority of our stores are located in major shopping malls catering to a substantial middle to upper-income clientele. We look for strategic locations with optimal visibility so that we can establish high traffic counts and hence impact on sales. Our productivity, based on sales per square foot, is clearly above the general average in each one of these shopping centres.
High Productivity
The stores for the most part, measure between 500 and 800 square feet and every inch is designed with an eye to generate sales. The displays and the sales are obviously located and transacted in the storefront while the required concentration for repairs and sharpening services are meticulously carried out in the back. The overall design was thought out and planned in order to maximize the available space.
Strong Expertise
Over the years, the company has developed strong, reciprocal links with many brand name suppliers. Not only do we account for major sales figures of these quality products, but also our people are specially trained by these manufacturers to perform their warranty repairs. In short, the Centre du Rasoir/Personal Edge name appears in service booklets as the source for service and repairs of all appliances sold in Canada by the majority of our suppliers.
Feedback and Dialogue
Personal Edge franchisees contribute on more than one level to the improvement of our concept. An advisory committee of franchisees meets once a month to discuss major issues such as advertising, product mix and a variety of other strategies. Each one of the franchisees on the committee represents a regional franchisee group and acts as the intermediary and the link between the group and head office which in turn takes into consideration the concerns and comments of all franchisees |
